Learn to Ride the Waves

As the self-professed “perpetual student,” I’ve been participating in a few prophetic courses over the summer to continuously sharpen my gifts. Last week there was an activation that took place in one of the classes to which the prophet instructed each of us participants to visualize a river. Before she ever said a word, God began to show me a picture of a large body of water. This body of water was not just any body of water, it was special. There was lots of chaos, yet many blessings flowing in the midst of this water rafting ride. This large body of water was a torrent river of miracles to those who fervently pursue righteousness.

There was a water raft filled with people and they were riding the wave just as a skillful sailor would. The waves were no ordinary waves. These waves were wild. The waves roared as the raft skillfully navigated the pre-appointed course. Isaiah 51:15 reminds us that the LORD our God, stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is His name). The large body of water is controlled by the Lord of Hosts and even though situations seem to be controlled by the adversary, I am here to assure you God is in control. You may have been experiencing unfavorable situations lately, but I declare this is a time of favor in your life. The waves may seem wild and the situations you have been facing may seem as if they’re unbearable. Your back may have been against the water and you may not see a way out, but the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is His name). "I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, 'You are My people.'" Isaiah 51:14-16 Now is the time to declare with your mouth, His words that supernatural favor is indeed your portion and you will receive supernatural favor in the second half of this year. I prophesy to you now that you will not die in the dungeon and you will not lack anymore. The exodus from your exile is here. Our God has the power to terrify the sea, in turn making the waves roar...This. is. His. Favor. He’s terrifying the situations in your life and causing them to favor you in your current situation if you’d just learn how to ride the wave. Reframing your perspective is imperative in this season.

Just as God favored the Children of Israel during the Exodus from Egypt, God is favoring you during your exodus from bondage into the land of favor. It has been made clear that Israelites are His people and He is the one who keeps them.   Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain – Psalm 127:1. A life apart from Abba is no life to live at all. The wild waves you deem unbearable in your life, The Lord of Hosts has allowed and if you just open up your mouth with His words, you could navigate the waves and ride them with immense favor just as a skillful sailor. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. –Proverbs 3:4 I speak to all of the believers fervently pursuing righteousness, yet still facing much opposition: there is a river on the inside of your belly and living waters shall flow forth as you begin to command favor concerning the wild waves along your course. From those dry places, when you seek Abba you will be filled, you will receive an overflowing experience of God’s power upon your life. How many of you know that’s supernatural favor? Heaven’s trumpets have sounded and supernatural favor is flowing forth in your life just as the torrent river those rafters sailed on in the vision I’d had in class. Choose today to ride the waves where the rushing water flows. - PT

A Moment of Truth: Respect Your Elders

I don’t know about you, but my spiritual fathers Bishop Jack C. Wallace & Bishop Benjamin A. Gibert taught me honor and respect for church leadership from the time I was 16 until now. That lesson has resonated with me since then. My spiritual fathers both taught me to run the play. You don’t always agree with what your coach tells you. But because you honor your coach, you obey whether or not you agree with the play that is called. The same principle applies when it comes to the shepherd of the house. You may not agree with the play that your church leadership has called, but because you respect the office they hold and the mantle on their lives...you run the play. The last instruction given from DWO leadership was to Press pause.

I'm your big sister and l say this with the utmost respect and love for everyone involved in the DWO transition. Elders have been chosen and appointed by leadership with a sound mind and humble heart seeking to please God. I know that the church is in a time of transition, but I urge you with the most sincere heart to respect your elders & pastors. No major decisions are to be made while on pause.

God appointed elders and shepherds (pastors) to oversee the flock. “Take care and be on guard for yourselves and for the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd (tend, feed, guide) the church of God which He bought with His own blood.” Acts 20:28 AMP & “Therefore, I strongly urge the elders among you [pastors, spiritual leaders of the church], as a fellow elder and as an eyewitness [called to testify] of the sufferings of Christ, as well as one who shares in the glory that is to be revealed: 2 shepherd and guide and protect the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not [motivated] for shameful gain, but with wholehearted enthusiasm; 3 not lording it over those assigned to your care [do not be arrogant or overbearing], but be examples [of Christian living] to the flock [set a pattern of integrity for your congregation]. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd (Christ) appears, you will receive the [conqueror’s] unfading crown of glory.“ 1 Peter 5:1-4 AMP.

The Absolute authority is Abba Father. It's HIS church and His church alone! Any pastor set in place will know that it is not their church and they have no right to it. Every leader must give an account of his/her actions. But these elders were chosen with prayer and fasting and were entrusted to protect the congregation. “When they had appointed elders for them in every church, having prayed with fasting, they entrusted them to the Lord in whom they believed [and joyfully accepted as the Messiah].” Acts 14:23 AMP. Plurality of elders is for the protection of the flock. Plurality is a mere safeguard to ensure a single leader in place does not abuse the flock. “Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it is based on [the testimony of at least] two or three witnesses. 20 As for those [elders] who continue in sin, reprimand them in the presence of all [the congregation], so that the rest will be warned. 21 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels that you guard and keep these rules without bias, doing nothing out of favoritism.” 1 Tim 5:19-21 AMP. We were never called to blindly follow our leaders, but l must stress obedience to Godly church leaders is for your benefit as members of the church. Everything must be done in decency and in order. We must shun even the appearance of evil. I urge you to lean not unto your own understanding at this time. Your moral obligation is to pray for the church leadership and I encourage you not to participate in gossiping about the current situation. Pray God's will be done, but first we must respect what order has been set. “Do not move the ancient landmark [at the boundary of the property] Which your fathers have set.” Proverbs 22:28 AMP. I encourage you to love your brethren and DO NOT LEAVE THE CHURCH in a time where there is the most need for your prayers and support. We want to be sure to glorify God and honor His word in this time.

I love you. I choose no side, but the side of my Father and His Word. Let's continue to pray during this time. Let's not fight and bash our brethren. No matter your church affiliation, we are ALL brothers and sisters in Christ. Stand with me and let's pray together for the next 2 weeks. I’ll be sure to post scriptures for each day of prayer. We can get through this on - Pastor Tricia

The elders who perform their leadership duties well are to be considered worthy of double honor (financial support), especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching [the word of God concerning eternal salvation through Christ]. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain [to keep it from eating],” and, “The worker is worthy of his wages [he deserves fair compensation].” Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it is based on [the testimony of at least] two or three witnesses. As for those [elders] who continue in sin, reprimand them in the presence of all [the congregation], so that the rest will be warned. I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels that you guard and keep these rules without bias, doing nothing out of favoritism.” 1 Timothy 5:17-21 AMP

Daily Bread Devotionals

The daily bread devotion is a project for each and everyone of us to read our Bibles on a daily basis. Did you know that 80% of church goers do not read the Bible everyday as we are commissioned to do?  And only 19% read the Bible everyday.  According to this article in  Christianity Today . I read in Matthew 4:4 that Jesus told satan, “But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”  How true do we know this to be in our lives? This challenge is not a rebuke, but an urge for each and every believer to write the Word on his or her heart by studying diligently. Each month we will post a calendar with scriptures for each day. All you have to do is read it. If you find a scripture you absolutely love it or got some revelation from it, please share it with us by using the hashtag #DBC or #DailyBread Challenge.  Click the link below to download the current month’s challenge! Sign up for Daily Bread Devotion here!

Word for 2017: REset. RElease. REstore.

It’s true: you never want to go to war without a word. It’s also true for your new year. All the prophets have heard from the Lord and it is unanimous that the year 2017 is the year of reset for many. Merriam-Webster defines reset as a transitive verb
meaning to set again or anew. To put it plainly, it will be different this time. The area you’ve been trying to manifest to no avail is REsetting. If you are believing for a life-changing, supernatural manifestation  in whatever area, it’s time for you to expect a divine REset. Allow Abba to do a new thing in every area of your life! (Isaiah 43:18-19)

There are also those of you who’ve been in great expectation waiting on the promises of God to be fulfilled, but you haven’t seen the manifestation of that thing realized. RElease is to relieve from something that confines, burdens, or oppresses (Merriam-Webster.) Those things are about to be REleased in the upcoming year. In turn, you will be required to release certain things in your life for good… loose the unforgiveness, loose the pain, loose the offenses, loose the negativity. RElease it all so that those things you’ve been praying for to be REleased from Heaven. There are properties, moneys, and opportunities that will be distributed to those of you who are obedient. (Esther 2:18)

REstore – to give back or return…to put again in possession of something. All of my outcasts, here’s a word for you: Abba promised to restore the years that the locust ate. In this restoration process you will eat and eat well. You will be satisfied with life. There will be overflow in your life. ( Joel 2:23-26)
